TOUR DESCRIPTION:
14 days jeep tour. From the capital of Genghis Khan, drive to unexplored corners of the Gobi desert, follow trails of dinosaur hunters. This remote and inaccessible area is home to wild asses, wild camels and desert gazelles and entertains visitors with tons of different and fantastic colors. Hiking, camel and horseback riding are the main activities. Tented overnights throughout tour, active cultural experience.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival to Ulaanbaatar
City tour: Dinosaur hall of Natural history museum, National costumes and Genghis Khan’s history at Museum of National history, traditional throat singing and contortion show (hotel/L,D).

Day 2: Travel by jeep to Karakorum
Once grand capital of Genghis Khan’s Empire. Enjoy the tranquil Erdene Zuu monastery, largest Buddhist center in Mongolia. (ger/B,L,D).

Day 3: Continue to Tsenkher hot spring resort
Explore on horseback the surrounding area of Siberian larch forest and rolling hills. (ger/B,L,D).

Day 4: Travel to Shargalzuut
Mineral hot springs across the magnificent passes of Khangai range. Take a tour to hundreds of medicinal springs. (tent/B,L,D).

Day 5: Enter the northern fringes of Gobi desert
Drive to Twin lakes nestled among flat rocky deserts. (tent/B,L,D).

Day 6: Drive to Bayangobi
A desert town beside the towering Bogd mountain, largest landmark of this part of Gobi. (ger/B,L,D).

Day 7: Drive to the dramatic moonscape of Bugiin Tsav
Richest cemetery of dinosaur remains; continue to Zulganai oasis, an amazing patch of greenery in the middle of nowhere. (tent/B,L,D).

Day 8: A day trip to Khermen Tsav
Grandiose canyons of red sand. (tent/B,L,D).

Day 9: Our next destination is the “Singing” sand dunes
Majestically contrasting with the green meadows and black mountain ranges. (ger/BLD)

Day 10: A deserved leisure at “Singing” sand dunes
Local nomads will help you ride camels. (ger/B,L,D).

Day 11: We continue to Eagle valley
A green canyon of bustling greenery and wild life of ibexes and wild sheep. The canyon is named by Bearded vultures that soar in the skies above. (ger/B,L,D).

Day 12: We catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar

Day 13: A free day for shopping and sightseeing
