TOUR DESCRIPTION:
13 days jeep tour. The tour provides a close insight into Western
Mongolia’s culture and traditions. Travel snow covered peaks, desert
lakes and green highlands. Various ethnic tribes inhabiting the region will
introduce you to the rich heritage of their ancestors. Horseback riding, hiking,
caving and fishing are the main activities. Tented overnights throughout tour,
comfortable, active cultural experience.

Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
City tour: Palace of the last Mongolian Monarch,
National history museum, and a walking tour of Sukhbaatar square (hotel/L,D).
Day 2: Morning flight to Ulgii
Drive to Tsambagarav peak.

Day 3: Visit Kazak falconers and their Golden
eagles
Horseback riding with
Mongolian nomads. (tent/B,L,D).
Day 4: Drive to Khovd
A charming town by Buyant river banks. Explore the
local museum and town square. (tent/B,L,D)
Day 5: Travel by jeep
Across sun-baked plains and by blue expanse of Black
water lake to Chono Kharaikh river. (tent/B,L,D).
Day 6: Continue to the emerald-green desert lake of Khyargas
Evening swim & fishing.

Day 7: Drive to Ikh Khairkhan mountain
