Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, guided city tour

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB), the capital of Mongolia and transfer to a centrally located 4 star hotel. Afternoon guided walking city tour will introduce you to the highlights of the city: The central city square with a grand statue of Ghinggis Khaan and Sukhbaatar statue placed at the center as well. Museum of National History is located right next to the square introducing Mongolia's history from early humans to modern era. Then choose to visit one or two museums from the following: 1. Choijin Lama or State Oracle Residence-museum displaying best samples of Buddhist artwork and religious masks or, 2. The Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum displays old arts including Buddhist arts, painting, folk arts and crafts, sculptures, carvings and embroideries. Welcome dinner. (hotel/D)

Day 2: Flight to Bayan-Ulgy, the Muslim province of Mongolia

Flight to Ulgii Western Mongolia, Drive to Tsagaan gol (White river) valley at foot of Altai Tavan Bogd mountain. (Tent/ B:L:D)

Day 3: Hike to Tavan Bogd base camp

Camel supported trek to the Altai Tavan Bogd basecamp. (Tent/ B:L:D)

Day 4-9: Skiing at Altai Tavan Bogd

During these 5 days, we’ll enjoy skiing through the peaks in Mongolia, the Khuiten (4374m), Nairamdal (4082m), Snowchurch (4071m), Malchin (4050m), Ulgii (4113m) and more peaks that belongs to the Altai Tavan Bogd Massif. (Tent/ B:L:D) 

Day 10: Return hike to White River

Trek out to White river valley downstream along its riverside. This time it is a continous and gentle downhill and easy stroll. It is a chance to see the Graneg's glacier and to observe how the glacier melt develops into torrents of the White river. Once again all loads will be transported by camels. Tonight the cook will serve you a delicacy of the local cuisine. (Tent/ B:L:D)

Day 11: Return transfer to Ulgy, overnight in local hotel

As we bid a fond farewell to our Tuvan friends, we embark on a captivating 7-hour journey back to Ulgii, retracing the scenic landscapes that have left an indelible mark on our adventure. Along this picturesque route, we make a unique stop to visit a Kazakh eagle hunter's family, providing an intimate glimpse into their age-old traditions. Here, you'll have the extraordinary opportunity to raise a majestic golden eagle on your own hand, forging a connection with these magnificent birds and experiencing firsthand the centuries-old bond between the Kazakh people and their revered eagles.
 
Upon our arrival in Ulgii, we settle into a local hotel, where the promise of a hot shower awaits to refresh. The day concludes with a celebratory touch, as we unwind with cold beers, savoring the camaraderie and memories forged during our remarkable journey.  (Local hotel/B,L,D)

Day 12: Return flight to Ulaanbaatar

This morning we catch a return flight to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon for shopping and else. Farewell dinner. (hotel/B,D)
