Tour Description
On April 6-7, 2024, The"BLUE BEAR – 2024" KHUVSGUL LAKE EXTREME ICE MARATHON will take place from the village of Khankh to the village of Khatgal. This event aims to promote and develop skating, skiing, and cycling on Lake Khuvsgul as forms of active recreation, tourism, and tourist products. Participants will traverse a 130 km ice road route.
Race type and categories:
The"BLUE BEAR – 2024" KHUVSGUL LAKE EXTREME ICE MARATHON features an individual race category. The total length of the route is 130 km, comprising one stage. The competition will be conducted across two main categories: speed skating/skiing and cycling.

DAY 1: GROUP MEETING DAY
April 5th: The tourist camp KHAN BARBARIS is located in the Khankh village of on Lake Khuvsgul. At 20:00, there will be an OPENING CEREMONY and an organizational meeting during which athletes will be assigned numbers and provided with safety tips.
Day 2. “BLUE BEAR – 2024” KHUVSGUL LAKE EXTREME ICE MARATHON
April 6th:
- 07:00 – 08:00 – Breakfast.
- 08:00 - 08:20 - Personal training.
- 08:20 – 08:30 – Athletes gather at the starting line.
- 08:30 – START OF MARATHON
- 18:00 - The race finish line will be located near Dood Modot Bulan on the ice of the lake. Flags and lights will mark the finish line.
- 19:00- Dinner
Departure Day
April 7th:
- 08:00 – 09:00 – Breakfast.
- 09:00 - 10:00 - Free time.
- 10:00 – Award Ceremony – CLOSING. Prizes will be awarded to the winning athletes. Participants who complete the race will receive certificates.
- 12:00 – LUNCH... Athletes are free to depart.
